Yes it does have one! Many of you may have thought that I had forgotten about WizardCraft (and my other mod, Statues) and moved on from Minecraft modding or simply just dropped off the face the Earth.
That is not the case, long story short:
2 Months ago - I lost my job (boo)
I spent a month looking for another job (boo)
I spent my spare time working on mods (yay)
1 month ago - I got a new job (yay)
I had no spare time for mods (boo)
Now - Things have settled and I have time again (yay)
Now I'm back I have a list of things I want to do or would like to add to WizardCraft, so here it is my future features list:
Update to 1.8.1/1.9 - Obvious but without it the mod is pretty much pointless. Chances are I will wait until 1.9 before I release thenext version, there are so many things I want to add I don't want to just rush out the current version of the mod for 1.8.1 withnothing new.
Epic level spells - something that I promised a long time ago and should have delivered sooner, but have no fear this will be thefirst thing I do.
New Mana Bar - with the introduction of the hunger bar in 1.8 the current mana bar needs to move. I'm using this as anopportunity to completely redesign it. Screen shots coming soon.
Rebalancing - I'm going to add a new layer to the crafting recipes to make the various staffs harder to craft my plan is to add Manacrystals that can be mined from a specific block or crafted using the current magic powder. You will then have to craft one of 8magic elements and enchant the crystal with that element before enchanting your staff.
Enchantment table change - Notch/Jeb added an Enchantment table to vanilla minecraft - so I'll either just rename myenchantment table or completely redesign it. I like the idea of Enchantments taking time to complete so I might include that inthe redesign.
SMP compatibility - In the 1.9 prerelease Notch and Jeb added Item metadata (meaning items can store data about themselves). In WizardCraft version 1 I made my own Item metadata using Map data (nasty) this caused me no end of problems when trying tomake an SMP version of the mod. Hopefully, the new metadata in 1.9 will make this a lot easier.
So that's it, no doubt I'll think of more stuff while I'm doing all that but I'll keep you updated on the progress with frequent blog posts, screen shots, YouTube videos and form posts.
Lastly, thank you for sticking by me and my mods despite my apparent disappearance. I hope the next version of WizardCraft will not disappoint :)
